Barnabas Bean Co has the express desire to not only be a GREAT cup of coffee, but an excuse to be together with others, encouraging them, inspiring them, and helping them move forward with a little more courage than before. Barnabas, a character from the book of Acts in the New Testament, was excellent at this very mission. Our desire is that you and us together can carry that same mission forward.

The Who
Mason and Vanessa grew up in Manitoba, Canada. In the year 2000, they moved to Pembina, ND (a small town in northeastern North Dakota) accepting a position as the senior pastor of a rural church. In 2019, they stepped away from vocational ministry to pursue a career in business. They bought a business one year before the world turned upside down and everyone's lives took on a perspective no one could have dreamed up. People were discouraged and lonely. The need for encouragement and lightening of heavy hearts became a real thing. With hearts for people on their minds, Barnabas Bean Co became reality. They started in the customer service area of their business with a cup of coffee and a word of encouragement to the weary that walked through the doors.
